As the retained communications agency for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s annual fundraising event, the Collars & Coats Gala Ball, Sterling kick started the relationship with the Home by devising a memorable launch campaign that had legacy. We developed a three tiered, sales driven PR timeline for the event, supported by a regular flow of creative news angles and content, to engage audiences and build consistent hype. We used the event as a strategic springboard to profile the Home’s 150 Year messaging and subsequent media-driven campaigns, which has helped the Home to expand its profile to new target groups. Our launch PR campaign earned us a Special Recognition at the PR Week Awards along with over £2 million worth of media coverage, which we have consistently surpassed annually. From securing coverage in The Times to the New York Times, BBC to CNN International, our communications strategy has contributed to the Home being recognised as not only the most loved animal welfare home in Battersea but also the world.
